BioHackathon 2018 in Matsue, Japan (Dec. 9 to 15)

The 11th NBDC/DBCLS BioHackathon will be held from 9th through 15th December 2018, in Matsue, Shimane, Japan.biohackathon 2018

The NBDC/DBCLS BioHackathon series have been contributing for integration and utilization of life sciences and biomedical databases. In this year, in addition to our continuous efforts on promoting the development for standardization and interoperability of life sciences / biomedical databases and their applications in data science, we are particularly interested in developing application cases of those tools in the fields of medical application, useful substance production, and breeding.

Registration is open until Nov. 11th, 2018.

[LSDB Cross Search] 2 databases have been added to Life Science Database Cross Search

Following 2 databases have been added to the search index of Life Science Database Cross Search.
  • [J-CHECK: Japan chemical collaborative knowledge database]:J-CHECK is a database developed to provide the information regarding "Act on the Evaluation of Chemical Substances and Regulation of Their Manufacture, etc. "(CSCL) by the authorities of the law, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Ministry of the Environment. J-CHECK provides the information regarding CSCL, such as the list of CSCL, chemical safety information obtained in the existing chemicals survey program, risk assessment, etc. in cooperation with eChemPortal by OECD.
  • [NITE-CHRIP: NITE Chemical Risk Information Platform]:NITE Chemical Risk Information Platform (NITE-CHRIP) is a database provided free of charge over the Internet, and shows comprehensive information on Risk Assessments and Laws & Regulations, etc., of chemical substances that can be searched by entering the number, name, etc., or provided in list format for each category.
