本会議は、日本バイオインフォマティクス学会（JSBi）、アジア太平洋バイオインフォマティクスネットワーク（APBioNET）、国際計算生物学会（ISCB）、ゲノムインフォマティクスワークショップ（GIW）、アジア太平洋バイオインフォマティクス会議（APBC）などが共同で企画する初めての会議です。
