Outline of R&D

We will construct Cell IO, a database that integrates cell functions and phenotypes. Cell function/phenotype and perturbation information linked to single-cell transcriptome data of human, mouse, etc. will be integrated. Cell origin, function/phenotype, type of perturbation, species, and other information are collected from the literature to facilitate retrieval and data integration. The system enables the interpretation of gene expression as cell functions and phenotypes, and contributes to research on predicting cell functions and phenotypes from omics data and on designing cells with desired functions and phenotypes.
