Outline of R&D

We will construct a database containing the whole-genome sequences of 258 individuals from five continents, including 105 Japanese individuals, determined by long-read sequencing. The database will include information on the types of genes (haplotypes) and structural polymorphisms revealed by the high accuracy sequences, as well as gene expression information for the same samples. This database will be an important resource for understanding the relationship between haplotypes, structural polymorphisms, and rare and multifactorial diseases in humans.
