New DICP projects adopted for FY2018

Two new projects have been selected for Database Integration Coordination Program (DICP).
During the application period from Dec. 15, 2017 to Jan. 30, 2018, we received a total of 11 proposals. After the screening process and interviews by Research Supervisor and Research Advisors, the following projects have been selected.
They will kick off on Apr. 1, 2018 or later, and will be funded for the maximum of five years.

The projects to be funded are:

  1. Platform of metabolome informatics considering the material cycle
    Database: MetaboBank
    Principal investigator: Professor Masanori Arita, The Research Organization of Information and Systems
  2. Development of functional and interactive database for proteomics
    Database: jPOST
    Principal investigator: Professor Yasushi Ishihama, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kyoto University
